Process
How it works
Capture
Open VERA· and take a photo or record a video. GPS coordinates and timestamp are recorded at the moment of capture.
Fingerprint
Your file is hashed using SHA-256. This unique fingerprint makes it impossible to alter the content without detection.
Anchor
The hash is submitted to the OpenTimestamps network and anchored to a real Bitcoin block — permanently and independently verifiable.
Certificate
You receive a complete certificate by email — original file, .ots proof, and your Unique Visual Seal.

Is this legally valid?
VERA· produces digital evidence evaluable in legal proceedings — timestamped, GPS-verified, and anchored to Bitcoin. Only a public authority can formally certify a document. What VERA· provides are the means for independent verification of a moment in time.
What does "anchored to Bitcoin" mean?
Your file's SHA-256 hash is submitted to the OpenTimestamps network. OTS anchors it to a real Bitcoin block via a Merkle tree. Anyone can verify this independently at opentimestamps.org — no account, no intermediary, ever.
Can anyone verify my certificate?
Yes. Every certificate includes a .ots file and the original hash. Anyone can verify independently using open-source tools or our public Verify page.
Do you store my photos?
No. Your file is processed to generate the hash, then delivered to your email and discarded. We store only the hash, timestamp, and GPS metadata — never the original file.
What is the Unique Visual Seal?
A 1080×1080 PNG generated deterministically from your SHA-256 hash. Every seal is unique to its content — designed to be shared on Instagram, TikTok, or anywhere else.
When is the app available?
The native app is in development. Join the waitlist and we'll notify you the moment it launches. In the meantime, the web app is fully functional on Safari for iOS and Chrome on Android.
